Check our calendar or contact us at 888-224-7045. Friends of Homeless Animals is a network of 100% volunteer foster homes. All of our cats and kittens are fostered in private homes, and are cared for as if they were our own.
There is no shelter. We are proud partners of People for Animals Snip Program, Petco, the Petco Foundation, Purina Rally to the Rescue, Best Friends Animal Society , Bissel Lost Pet Network, and Petfinder Chips for Keeps sponsored by Home Again. Our goal is to find permanent homes for stray and abandoned pets. We have set policies that help us reach this goal. Our policies for adoption that include; seeking homes that have a history of long term conscientious pet care, that can be verified through a veterinarian, checking leases for permission to have pets, or verifying home ownership. We do not handle dogs at this time. All cats and kittens are spay/neutered, Vaccinated & Tested FIV/FeLV, and micro chipped, prior to adoption. Friends of Homeless Animals (FoHA), believes that every cat deserves regular veterinary care, food and a safe environment to live in. FoHA foster animals receive regular vaccinations that are age appropriate, are fecal tested and de-wormed, are tested for FIV, (feline aides) and FeLV (feline Leukemia), are spay or neutered if 10 weeks or older, and receive a rabies vaccination. Adoptions are limited to Northern NJ, locations convenient for foster parents travel. We support TNR, and feral cat colony management and are looking for volunteers to join our team to form, promote, organize and run a Feral Cat Coalition that will provide freespay/neuter for feral cats for Passaic County NJ
